Installation

Before purchasing your new equipment, identify your phone system

Switchboard

A switchboard installed by a professional, usually has the connection you need to use our equipment. Although the switchboard may have many lines of communication, you will find a central unit near the phone panel. This is the unit you will connect to the message player. In our "how to" video we will show you how to indentify it.

Universal telephone

A universal telephone is the one you find at department stores and office supply stores. It may have one or more lines. It usually doesn't have the capacity to use equipment to play personalized messages. Since it doesn't have this capacity, you will need a special adapter. In our "how to" video you'll see the adapter you'll use.

Installing new equipment is easy

Order your equipment through our simple checkout. Once received, you just have to check the contents of the package we sent you. To install it, follow the steps on the diagram. If you'd like more details, download the instructions in PDF or take a look at our "how to" video.

How to download an MP3 to a personalized message system

With your original order you will receive a SOH-USB with your hold message ready to be played. If you ordered a new message, download it this way:

  • When you receive your personalized message in MP3 format, click the right button to copy it on your computer's desktop.

  • Drag and copy it to the USB memory.

  • Usually, the USB opens up automatically to see the contents. Otherwise, click on My Computer. Make sure you erase the old MP3 and replace it with the new MP3 that you'll use in your telephone.

  • Insert the external memory unit (flash drive) in our system identified as USB. Wait for approximately one minute for the system to recognize the recording.

  • Make a phone call to the phone system and put it on hold. Then adjust the volume with the Up Down buttons.

We show you how to do it in our "how to" video.
